The DC Independent Film Market & Trade Show (DCIFM) is an annual ten-day event coinciding with the
start of the DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) in early March.
DCIFM is Washington, D.C.’s only film market and trade show of its kind and is the perfect answer for
Washington, D.C. and the independent film scene in a city already rich in media, technology and the arts. It
provides an opportunity for filmmakers to meet with industry professionals – buyers, distributors, agents,
editors, etc. – to whom they might not otherwise have access.
DCIFM unveils itself simultaneously with the city’s only trade show all the while on the backdrop of a
metropolis that represents the very freedom of independent expression and advocacy for the arts and film.
